American Academy of Religion 2020 Annual Meeting

This year's annual lecture will be given by Dr. Todd Speidell: 

"T. F. Torrance's Soteriological Suspension of the Ethical"

Dr. Chris Kettler will offer a response to Dr. Speidell’s paper. After a time of exchange between them, we will have a time for Q&A from the online participants.

Dr. Speidell (Ph.D. Fuller Theological Seminary) serves as the Editor of Participatio: The Journal of the Thomas F. Torrance Theological Fellowship. His most recent book is Fully Human in Christ: The Incarnation as the End of Christian Ethics. He has served as editor, contributor or co-editor of several books including Trinity and Transformation: J.B. Torrance’s Vision of Worship, Mission, and Society; T. F. Torrance and Eastern Orthodoxy: Theology in Reconciliation; and Incarnational Ministry: The Presence of Christ in Church, Society, and Family. Now retired, he has most recently served as Director of Education for Acadia Healthcare Corporation and Instructor in Theology at Montreat College.

Dr. Kettler, a prolific author and past officer in the T. F. Torrance Theological Fellowship, is Professor of Theology and Religion, Friends University, Wichita, Kansas.
