The Thomas F. Torrance Theological Fellowship will hold its annual meeting in Boston on Friday, November 21, 2025 in conjunction with the AAR annual meeting.
The Annual Meetings of the American Academy of Religion (AAR) and Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) will be held in Boston, Massachusetts, November 22-25. The Evangelical Theological Society (ETS) will hold its annual meeting November 18-20. The Fellowship meeting is sandwiched between them on a Friday, so come early or stay late in order to gather with us. (Registration for AAR/SBL is not necessary to gain entry to the building on Nov 21.)

Our Keynote Speaker: Tom Greggs
At this year’s Annual Meeting, it is our pleasure to host Professor Tom Greggs (DLitt, FRSE, PhD), Director of Princeton’s Centre for Theological Engagement and former Professor of Divinity at the University of Aberdeen. Tom will be speaking on the topic of "Thomas F. Torrance and the Holy Spirit."
Following Tom, we will hear from Rev Dr Scott Harrower (PhD Trinity Intl Uni), lecturer in Christian thought at Ridley College, Australia. Scott will be responding to Tom and furthering our conversation on Torrance and pneumatology.
Finally, before the extended period of question and response, a brief response to both papers will be offered by Myk Habets (PhD Otago University), Senior Lecturer in Theology, Head of Theology, Laidlaw College, New Zealand. As is usual for our Annual Meetings, we have plenty of time for conversation and we welcome you and any guests you may like to bring along.
Annual Business Meeting
At the Annual Meeting, we will also hold a short business meeting. Details of the meeting will be circulated at a later time, but this year we will be appointing a new President (as my three-year term is up), two new Vice-Presidents, and some other officers. These are three-year terms, and we look forward to and pray for the new leadership to make wise and judicious decisions for the health of the Fellowship.
Associated activities
We look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it to Boston for the annual meeting and for face-to-face fellowship. We are considering informal gatherings of various kinds and formats -- let us know if you have ideas or would like to participate.
