Phase III: Final Editing and Publishing

After the initial preparation of a rough transcript (Phase II), the next step is collaborative review of the oral history by the general editors in dialogue with the history editor (Phase III). Several iterations of this review process may be expected. Steps in this review process are described in the following sections.

The activities of Phase III occur in a collaborative manner utilizing as a platform an oral history page created on the Fellowship website. That page contains the recordings and all of the associated forms, additional supporting documents and materials, term lists and standardized tags. It is established with access restricted only to the editorial team and the narrators themselves until the review process is completed.
