Abstract

T. F. Torrance regarded Galatians 2:20 as a verse of primary importance. It refers to Christ's vicarious and substitutionary faith which undergirds all of our Christian faith, ministry and worship. The essay discusses how Torrance's teaching on the vicarious humanity of Christ, the hypostatic union, and union with Christ explicated the theological significance of Galatians 2:20, emphasizing especially the significance for understanding the Christian life.
