Editors' Foreword (no page #): "A Biblical Approach to the Doctrine of the Trinity is the first of a series of monographs to be published under the auspices of the Scottish Journal of Theology. From time to time there come into the hands of the Editors manuscripts which are too long to publish as articles in the Journal, but too short to be published in the usual way as books. Yet some of these are among the most notable contributions received. To give them publicity and allow them to excercise the influence which they should rightly have, it has been thought appropriate to issue a series of Occasional Papers which will appear as need arises. It is hoped that this series will encourage the study of doctrine on a biblical and exegetical basis, and do a real service for theology by making readily available material that might not otherwise come before the public. - T.
