Abstract

John Wesley once stated that predestinarian views were no more than a “hair’s breadth” that separated the Methodists from the Calvinists. Since that time, the division between the two groups has been deep. This article presents an analysis of Wesley’s primary concern and of how it is possible for that division to be overcome in the Reformed theology of T. F. Torrance.
